CARLA -REGULATORY AFFAIRS

Carla served a six-year term on the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) from 2013 to 2018. She's led several CPUC clean energy initiatives, including the adoption of the nation's first electric utility investments in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, adoption of utility energy-efficiency goals and the continued implementation of California's Renewables Portfolio Standard. DEBBIE - ENERGY PROCUREMENT

Debbie works in our Energy Procurement Management team that ensures our customers have electricity to meet their needs through the output of SCE-owned generating plants and purchased electricity from independent generators. Debbie has been resilient and uses her personal experience as a role model to help fellow colleagues live with a disability and thrive in their daily life — both at home and at work. JENNIE - MITIGATION & RESTORATION

Jenny is a Scientific Advisor for the Mitigation and Restoration Section in our Environmental Services department. In her role, she is a responsible for leading the Company’s most prominent habitat recovery projects. She's managing the final construction phase of the largest kelp reef in North America consisting of 200 additional acres of artificial reef constructed as mitigation for the operation of the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station. KAREN - DIGITAL ACCELERATOR

When Karen joined Southern California Edison as an IT project manager 13 years ago, the electric utility industry was a place where a power company’s main goal was to keep the lights on, and where your grandparents parked their savings. Fast forward to today, and while still focused on affordability and reliability, the utility industry is undergoing massive transformation – thanks to megatrends like a transition to clean energy, increased digital and distributed grids, and a move to individualized customer services. EVELIA - TRANSMISSION MANAGER

As a Mexican American woman, Evelia always dreamed of starting her career at SCE even before she finished college. After doing her research, she knew right away that SCE’s values and commitment to the community aligned with hers. Through her passion and determination, she applied 52 times before she landed her first interview and eventually started in the Transportation Services Department as a Business Analyst. Thirteen years later, Evelia is now Manager for the Transmission Construction & Technical Support Project Management team where she leads a group of Project Managers. Learn more about her story.

MICHAEL - CYBERSECURITY

Michael is one of our passionate Cybersecurity Managers responsible for leading the Cyber Risk Management team at Southern California Edison (SCE). He also leads various technical projects and engages with business leaders across the company on identifying and implementing risk mitigation plans. Michael and his team oversee cybersecurity risk management at the company and drive implementation of cyber assurance plans while ensuring effective cyber practices enterprise-wide. MICHAEL - SUPPLIER DIVERSITY

Michael is part of our Edison Supplier Diversity team that helps strategize and build a strong base of diverse suppliers. He credits SCE's diversity and inclusion programs and Employee Resource Groups like Lighthouse (LGBTQ+) and ASCEND (Asian & Pacific Islander) for helping him feel safe sharing that he is gay. He shares, "Disclosing my sexual orientation has helped break down the stereotypes of who an LGBTQ+ person is and most importantly, has allowed me to be myself at work.” Read more about his story

CAROLYN - POLICY ENGAGEMENT

Carolyn is a Senior Advisor on the Policy Engagement team within the Local Public Affairs department at Southern California Edison (SCE). In this role, Carolyn is responsible for leading both internal and external engagements with SCE's community partners. Specifically, she is responsible for leading the external engagement strategies for environmentally impacted and low income communities, as well as managing relationships with participants of the Clean Energy Access Working Group. DREW - STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT

Drew has been at Edison for four years. In addition to his role as senior vice president of Strategy and Corporate Development, he is the executive sponsor for the Lighthouse Employee Resource Group whose mission is to engage LGBTQ+ and ally employees in personal and professional growth. The group also seeks to promote inclusion and acceptance of LGBTQ+ employees. Drew firmly believes that it’s up to all of us to create the kind of company we really want to work for. “I think the most important message I can share is that you can be yourself at work and be successful and happy.”
